Don McGlashan & Dave Dobbyn at the Basement, Sydney
Another 'catching up on photos I should have posted' post - here's one from late last year, when Kiwi singer / songwriters Don McGlashan (from The Mutton Birds, Blam Blam Blam, From Scratch and The Front Lawn) and Dave Dobbyn (Th'Dudes & DD Smash) joined forces for a tour to the UK via Dubai - and a couple of dates in Australia en route.
A great night, a bar packed with New Zealanders (of course), singing along (of course), with a range of instruments from Don including his euphonium (of course).
I've photographed both of them at different times over the years in New Zealand - Dave with the Vector Wellington Orchestra, Don with a number of bands including most of his family - and always been a fan of each of them individually, but it was great to hear them together, as well.
